7 Heather Grove is an attractive, well proportioned, 4 bedroom, detached family home, set back on an impressive wide plot and enjoying a peaceful, yet convenient, cul-de-sac situation within this highly desirable residential area.
We have lived in this house for 30 years and brought up our family here.
Heather Grove is a lovely, quiet cul-de-sac with friendly neighbours. There are local shops including a great butchers, chemist, plus hairdressers and takeaways.
My son’s first school was Yew Tree, just around the corner. A friendly and happy place which has recently become part of the Tudor Grange Academy. He also attended Lode Heath School where he was supported and encouraged to achieve excellent results. I’m proud to say that he has gone on to achieve a degree and is starting a phD.
Solihull is just a 20 minutes walk away with all its shops and amenities. We are also a short drive from road and rail networks, plus the airport and NEC.
The house itself stands on a large plot with a lovely private garden. If you sit in the garden on a sunny day, you might be lucky enough to spot some of the green parakeets that live locally!
We have all needed outside space over the last couple of years more than ever, and there is access to the canal just up the road which provides a lovely walk to Catherine de Barnes and beyond. Elmdon Park is easily accessible, and of course there are the lovely parks in Solihull itself with play areas for the children.
I can honestly say this has been a lovely place to live and I will be sad to leave, but the time has come to retire and downsize.
