Vendor Comments

Our home has been a perfect lockdown haven this past year, but it’s always been a lovely spot even before the challenges of Covid. We've welcomed family and friends here from around the globe, and they’ve always commented on how tucked away we are, yet just a short walk from the town centre and with good transport links! Having commuted for years (each going in opposite directions), being forced to spend the past year not travelling, we’ve made the most of the versatile indoor space and especially our bright kitchen and all the different options we’ve got for formal/informal seating and dining areas depending on what time of day it is. We’ve also loved our contemporary cottage garden - it’s a little sun trap, and we’ve spent many an evening sitting out under the pergola sipping wine and catching up with friends, or stopping for a morning coffee break on the patio. We’ve been big fans of watching the wildlife coming through the garden throughout the seasons - with the lovely lake in the street as well, we get everything from herons and frogs, to nuthatches, squirrels, and blue tits. It’s not your normal suburban setting!

Having all the practicalities of a modern home - with good broadband (thank goodness!) and good noise insulation - working from home has totally transformed how we use the house - we’ve really enhanced the connection to the outdoors, front, back, and sides by adding little seating areas where we sometimes catch up with the neighbours too. We’ll be really sorry to move away from the Meadow after the happy years in which this has been our home.
