Overview

Olde White Lodge is a stunning 5 bedroom, 2 en-suite, traditional, detached, family residence, having been thoughtfully and substantially refurbished by the current owners and presented to the highest standard throughout. Being set back from the road on an impressive, substantial plot in this convenient, highly sought after location, this impressive family residence, which extends to over 3,000 square feet, demands an early internal viewing to fully appreciate the spacious, highly specified, accommodation on offer.

Westwood Heath is a southwestern semi-rural suburb of the City of Coventry in the ceremonial county of West Midlands. It is bordered by the suburbs of Canley, Cannon Park and Gibbet Hill and by the University of Warwick campus to the east, the suburb of Tile Hill Village and the village of Burton Green to the west, and rural Warwickshire to the south. Westwood Heath is considered to be one of the most prosperous districts of Coventry and is situated about 6 miles west of the city centre, and 9 miles east of central Solihull and enjoys excellent travel links, being within moments of the national motorway network, Birmingham International Railway Station and Birmingham airport, which makes it such an obvious place to live for those busy professionals working in the cut and thrust of the capital, but wanting a peaceful home life in a most convenient semi-rural setting.

Vendor Comments

Our family house really has proved to be a home for all seasons – from log fires welcoming guests in the middle of winter, to enjoying the vivid flowers and well-planned borders of previous generations throughout the summer months.

When we re-modelled the house, as well as expanding the living area, we also wanted to achieve a sense of ‘bringing the outside in’ with the twin sets of bi-fold doors, and we certainly found this a real advantage, being able to extend the entertaining space right into the garden for larger family occasions.

Our architect designed the vaulted ceilings to flood the inside of the house with light, making the rooms spacious and airy, and throughout we aimed to balance the character of an older property with the efficiency and convenience of a contemporary residence.

There are many beautiful walks in the surrounding countryside to discover within minutes of stepping outside, which we regularly enjoy and of course perfect if you are a dog-walker! Our children attended the lovely village school down the road, and now they have moved on from there, the bus and train networks are all very accessible for travels further afield. Westwood Heath has a vibrant local community which has been shown at its best over the challenging recent months.
