Vendor Comments

When we purchased our home 11 years ago we saw a house with a quiet, private, corner plot in an  excellent location, and with huge potential to develop as we knew that we would like to start a family. We are now a family of 5, and the house holds huge sentimental value as the place where the kids have been brought up from birth.

Just a 5 minute walk to Monkspath primary school, Shelly farm amenities and the excellent Farm pub, our home gives us easy access to the things we need. We have also walked to Solihull Town Centre many a time, for a more adventurous stroll!

4 years ago when we were expecting our third child, we decided to employ a professional architect to fulfil the potential of the plot, maximise the space and create a spacious, airy, family home that wasn’t available on the market in our price range.  He did an excellent job!

Whilst the upstairs remodelling created 5 spacious double bedrooms, a new heating system and 3 new bathrooms, the benefits downstairs have changed our lifestyle completely as a family. Bifold doors to the large open plan family room/kitchen blend the house into the garden in the summer making a BBQ for 30 people uncrowded and easy to manage. We have had numerous parties here since the extension, and love nothing more than having a house full.

In the winter months, underfloor heating means it’s always warm and cosy, and with the sun rising through the wooded area to the rear of the property when the leaves have dropped makes for a warming start to the day, even when it’s sub-zero outside. It’s really become a home where everyone comes to relax and spend time together.

We are now ready for our next adventure, and look forward to moving to our next family home. We will leave Rowthorn Drive with so many happy memories, and hope someone else will love the property as much as we do.
