In 1960, Mum and Dad bought our family home in Hanson Grove and lived their for nearly 60 years until 2017! On viewing the house, our parents fell in love with the large garden. As children we made some great dens in the bushes, enjoyed picking fruit from our small orchard, playing badminton, football and tennis on one of the lawns and even had an aerial runaway running the length of the garden.
Our parents loved entertaining and 16 Hanson Grove hosted many a party – the extended lounge meant there was room for lots of guests with many a happy evening spent round the piano. The other quirky thing was we were always being asked if we ‘owned the road’ as we were the Hanson family!
We hope another family will have the happy life we had there too.
