Vendor Comments

My family and I moved into Hockley Heath just six months ago with the thought that we wanted a slower more mundane pace of life. However since we have been here I have realised I am a townie at heart and want to move back into Solihull where I have lived most of my life.

We bought the house with numerous things that needed doing and in the six months have spent tens of thousands of pounds renovating it.

The specification has been to done to a high level and nothing spared the kitchen for instance is bespoke oak hand painted and took four months to order and fit, it has Villeroy and Boch sinks hot tap, Perrin Rowe taps the list is endless. The work has been continued because we thought if I could make it my home I would want to stay but no! Hasn't happened - if I could pick the house up and take it into Solihull this is exactly what I would do (admittedly it would cost an awful lot more) but it's not the case and this is where we are at?

On the enormous plus side the house is warm welcoming and very cosy for a large property. My children love to go into the massive garden on their quads and play in the paddock amongst the wildlife (rabbits pheasants, and all manner of lovely birds) and climb the trees.. The paddock is ideal for a pony or small animals...if this is your cup of tea? It is wonderful I admit to watch the tiny baby rabbit run happily around the garden with the mum or dad chasing it but like I said if I could pick it all up and move it I would.

The house needs someone with a love of the country and doesn't mind the quietness and slower pace of lifestyle it offers.

The neighbours that we have met are delightful people and very easy to get on with.

The property needs someone like myself with initiative to carry on making Hockley House even more beautiful it has bucket loads of potential however this is a job for someone else I just want to go home to Solihull.

I look forward to showing anyone around and passing on my ideas for the next person to hopefully continue.
