We have enjoyed the tranquillity of this large plot and old farmhouse for 30 years and it is like having a piece of the country in the town.  (Solihull’s motto is “town in the country”).  We’ve brought up 3 children here and it has been a good family home.  The garden features a 200 year old oak with its wildlife and is completely private.  It is well stocked with fruit trees and flowering trees such as the large cherry which for two weeks a year is the reason for living here.  We shall remember the many parties here and the house guests from all over the world.

The house is within walking distance of the train into Birmingham, the bus to Solihull is round the corner, and a big supermarket is within walking distance in the other direction.  Local schools are good to outstanding.

It is time for us to move with some regret to somewhere more manageable - we hope that our successors will feel as happy here as we have been.
