We moved here as a newly married couple in 2003 and were attracted to the property by the traditional design, the large living room and its proximity to Solihull which can be walked in 10 - 15 minutes.

 

Our first daughter arrived in 2004 followed by our second in 2007 and the following year we decided to extend our home to add to what the previous owner had already completed. This gave us an extra room and additional bathroom upstairs along with the en-suite. Downstairs it opened up a narrow L-shaped kitchen into the existing conservatory and external utility room. This has provided a fantastic light and open space where most of our family time is spent and many memories created as our two daughters have grown up. Having carefully chosen the kitchen units and granite this will probably be the most difficult part of the house to leave behind.

 

Despite being situated on the Warwick Road, we are very sheltered from any noise by the mature front garden and the rear of the property is very peaceful. In the summer months, the south westerly garden is a real sun trap and has recently been opened up further by our neighbours who removed a large sycamore tree last autumn.

 

We have deliberated whether to move or not for the last 12 months and weren’t actively looking which is demonstrated by the fact that we’ve recently invested in the front reception room, having a new fire fitted at considerable cost along with fitted curtains/carpet. We were in the process of furnishing this room and the sofa was delivered only this weekend!! However after driving past a property for sale in January we took a viewing and subsequently make the decision to move and it is with some sadness that we are now looking to sell.
