Vendor Comments:

Mum moved to Pegasus Court from Swansea in 2006 to be closer to her family after my father died in 2005.  It was a big move as she was downsizing from a 4 bedroom detached home and obviously had to come to terms with  moving into a new location and property, albeit a sizeable 2 bedroom apartment in a high quality hotel-like environment. Being a newcomer, she was readily accepted and made many new friends very quickly and her social live blossomed.  She became social secretary for a while and organised the many outings, charity events and regular in-house lunches/dinners and evenings.

Mum used the communal lounge regularly for coffee mornings and Sunday afternoon teas, she used the gym twice a week and spent time in the gardens enjoying the company of her friends and the well-kept Pegasus Court gardens.  More often than not, she was either entertaining in her apartment or socialising with friends in theirs.  Often though, she would welcome the peace and quiet to read, watch television and rest, Pegasus Court can be a very tranquil place during most of the time.

From a son perspective, this was a perfect move, knowing mum could go to bed safely at night, having access to Careline services in every room in the event of emergencies and having a more active social life than me!  Being close to Shirley, the pubs, the bus stop, the supermarkets and being over the road from the doctors was a blessing. Having an estate manager on site during the working day helped with any day to day problems or an ear on site to get advice.  Mum’s apartment gave her the space she needed, and while she could have selected a property overlooking the road, she chose one to look over the car park and the gardens, so she could keep an eye on all the comings and goings.  The move to Pegasus was, in her opinion, one of the best life decisions she had made and she enjoyed 8 very happy years there.
