Vendor Comments
Wadleys Road is such a lovely location. As soon as you round the bend you lose the traffic noise from the Warwick Road entirely and enter the peace and quiet of the tree lined cul-de-sac. It is lovely to hear the birdsong including occasional owls at night.
My Dad bought the bungalow (built in 1978) 15 years ago and it was made wheelchair friendly for my Mother. She loved the bedroom with patio doors overlooking the private, sunny garden. This room, together with the en-suite bathroom is an extension added at the same time as the flat conversion in 1991. The flat has virtually the same footprint as the bungalow so is surprisingly spacious, light and airy. The property as a whole offers an amazing amount of space. When you see it from the outside you have no idea how much room there is inside!
The position of the bungalow is so, so convenient. Dovehouse Parade is a five minute walk away and offers everything you could possibly want. It is a fine example of a thriving arcade with everything from a postage stamp to designer clothing and food outlets available. Solihull Town Centre is also within walking distance. There is a bus stop at the end of the road.
The flat above used to be rented out but Dad only wanted it for storage, hence the recent refurbishment. I love the flat, it is a fabulous space. When I inherited the bungalow it was our intention to live in there ourselves and Airbnb the flat, offering free parking and airport pick up and drop offs. We had so many plans and ideas about how to enhance the bungalow. There is so much potential there! Sadly our plans have had to change but somebody else will now have the opportunity to put their own stamp on it. I hope that whoever that may be will be very happy there.
