49 Meadow Grove is an attractive, tastefully presented, traditional 3 bedroom semi detached family home enjoying a quiet, yet convenient, situation in this delightful, highly desirable residential area.
Me and my gorgeous little black Pug Monty moved into 49 Meadow Grove, back in 2009. I personally stripped all the walls, floors, woodwork and filled a few skip loads before renovating it which I thoroughly enjoyed. The property has a calmness about it, it's hard to explain but when people come over they always comment on how relaxed they feel.
The area is quiet and the neighbours are very friendly. The place I like the most is the garden, it’s not overlooked and it's my very own slice of the countryside, there are fresh herbs, I have, thyme, rosemary, mint, flat leaf parsley, lemon balm, coriander, as well as crab apples, blueberries, blackberries, wild strawberries and raspberries. They all taste so nice. I also love to sit in the garden with a good book and watch all the different wild birds as they fly around the garden like it's their very own playground, I love to watch them eat the seeds, drink some water and take a wash in the bird bath. I find it so peaceful and relaxing, especially on a sunny day. The garden is a sun trap but it also has perfect shaded areas.
The property is in a great location and it's a 5 minute walk to Olton train station and The Olton Mere, which I am a member of. It's private and I have a key, I like to take Monty there for a walk, it's also nice to just go and sit there to watch people learn to sail. My nephews love it. There are plenty of shops within walking distance if you run out of something or you can get a bus on Kineton Green Road which is 2 minutes away to take you straight into Solihull town centre, as well as a bus straight into Birmingham City centre on the Warwick Road. There are plenty of activities for children at the local church including a Scouts and Brownies club. It's only a 5 minute walk to the Doctors, which can be very handy especially if you are not feeling great.
