When I was looking to buy back in 2007 I must have looked at a hundred properties before finding my perfect home.  My house ticked all the boxes on my list -  a great sense of light and space; good ceiling height; solid walls throughout; ample storage; a manageable garden and secure off road parking.  It had also had planning permission for a loft conversion and garage so had I ever wanted to extend, the potential was there.  As it happened - I am really happy with the house as it is.

I love the uniqueness of my house, and its almost cottagey feel (cottagey – but I can still put up an 8 ft Christmas tree!).  After having lived on main roads for years I find my house to be quiet and tranquil but without being isolated and off the beaten track.  I now wake up to birds singing rather than roaring traffic.  Its position at the end of the cul-de-sac which backs on to another has meant that as well as it being an ideal and safe location for my two rescued cats, I benefit from having some great neighbours and friends on both roads who I will be very sad to leave.

I have often described my house as being in the middle of dog walking land as it is only a short walk away from a number of ponds, playing fields, nature reserves, and the canal. This does mean that the occasional duck lands in the garden, even a random pheasant once!  I enjoy having the garden to all three sides, so even if I am late back from work in the summer I am still guaranteed a patch of sun to sit in and enjoy a cold glass of wine or two.

I have more happy memories in this home than any other home I have had, but after nearly 10 years here the time has come for me to start a new chapter in life and to start out an another new adventure.
